Title 1 Homeless Project

Keshet instructors work with homeless children (generally ages 6-12) who are bused to various elementary schools for after school tutoring. The participants are provided with a hot meal, academic tutoring, and arts programming.  Keshet is a part of the arts programming.  We use dance as the vehicle to provide these youth with increased self-esteem as well as the power to believe in themselves and the goodness of the world around them, something that is sorely missing from their daily lives.
